I agree. The waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and declining proposals over the past few years was silly. I did all of the same thinking and worrying that people here are feeling now in the moment up front to try to alleviate all the possible complaints with best outcomes for them, and essentially caused this problem from the get go. What is most interesting though is that a bulk at the time said, "no, we won't pay salary, but we'll pay for good work!" and now that the markets are terrifying, it's flopped the other way. If it was presented as $90k as a yearly salary, most of the responses would be the same, even though in general, they mean much the same thing and one essentially has proof of work/stake attached and is part of my goal to try to do double again the amount of work and stretch that for another few years.
Both sides of the coin have said, You must do it! You must not do it! You need to define a salary! You can never ask for a salary! and now, it's basically offering up what seems to be the best rationalized to the market. If there's no fit at all, then that's how the voting will go, and that's okay. I don't mind people here on chain name calling or all of the very valid and rational criticisms; had I taken a ton of money up front and done so year over year, it would either be that I would have be able to achieve a lot more, or I'd be like most of our other proposals, and we will never know that. It's just a few of the weird, aggressive personal campaigns behind closed doors that I think are distasteful, but they're still part of people publicly deciding market value on what matters to them. I'd much rather work on a chain that has the entire populace feeling entitled to publicly shitting on me versus the alternative for our tech or the route a few have decided to undertake. Feedback loops were built for feedback!

On a going forward salary of support, but back dating 6 years as is presented, I have serious issue with. The timing is tone deaf.
