I received a call from a Policeman who is the Prosecutor in a case we are trying to get justice for. A 35year old man raped two sisters- a 3year old and a 7year old and no judgment yet. We were in court on Monday 16th July and the case have been adjourned to 23 August for judgment (this case have been on since November 2017). The family of the culprit are doing everything financially possibly to frustrate the poor, illiterate family and we fear that the full weight of the law may not fall on him.
So, back to the call i received this afternoon, a 48year old is presently on the run from the law after raping and infecting a child with disease. The child is presently admitted in the hospital. The culprit went to the point of reporting the family to the Police Headquarter in Benin City and have reported a case of assault against the family in Auchi (and the incident happened in Afuze in Owan East).
We are looking for NGOs that can pick on this cases and help us give justice to this families and use this men as scapegoats so that the future of our girls will be secured. As i speak, there are over 6 cases on this issue that we await that the court of law will do the right thing in bringing them to book.

It is reported that India's Cabinet has passed an executive order to make the rape of a girl under 12 punishable by death penalty, but our justice system is still watered in Nigeria and innocent people are suffering the fate of the wicked.
The future of this universe lie in the belly of the girl child. Let us protect our girls
