Sony recently announced that the PlayStation 4 game consoles and software have reached high sales figures during this year's New Year holiday season. According to the explanation, during the holiday season of 2017, PS4 sales were carried out to consumers over 5.9million. The number of PS4s sold cumulatively to consumers worldwide has reached 73.6 million by December 31, 2017.
During the 2017 holiday season, the number of PS4 games sold globally through retail stores and digitally downloaded through the PlayStation Store was 55.9 million. Thus, as of December 31, 2017, the cumulative number of games sold rose to 645 million.
The PS4 system is currently available in 127 countries and territories worldwide.
