We all want to be more productive but getting motivated enough to actually get things done can seem impossible. Motivation is not magic. It does not come in a bottle.
A lot of Social scientists have been studying motivation for decades, figuring out what keeps us be motivated and do well in work place and all areas of life. But no matter how we learn how to be motivated we still fail, because we are covered with lots of troubles.
Personal motivation is key to maintaining almost all aspects of life. If we're not motivated, we're more likely to lose our time and neglect our personal and professional goals. Even the most determined people can lose sight sometimes.
How do you define motivation and how do you keep motivated??? I am sure you surely know how to do it but yet we are sometines coward of our own weaknesses because we are getting used to performing easy and routine activities.
HOW TO KEEP MOTIVATED???
1. Remind yourself of your goals.
Remember to keep your goals realistic, that way you wont be disheartened if you don't reach them. That doesn't mean you can't push and challenge yourself though, if you don't challenge yourself, then it's not really a goal.
Setting goals should be S-M-A-R-T. It means to be *Specific Measurable Attainable Relevant Timebounded.
We don't have to wish for something that we know is hard for us. Like to be a millionaire in a year without doing anything. Or mary a hollywood star... haha, that's something we should think of.
2. Make weekly checkpoints to track your progress.
If you see that you are on track or even excelling every time you check your progress, you will be motivated and happy that you are getting there.
But when tracking and you don't still get what you aim for, don't be dismaye instead push harder and work better.
3. Make sure to reward yourself every time you achieve your weekly goals.
Whatever rewards will keep you going are the ones you should be giving yourself.
Being nice to your self is the best thing you can do. If no one recognize your efforts and hard work, better give it to your self.
4. Give yourself breaks.
Sometimes even the most determined people get overwhelmed and forgot they need a break as will and be back in a normal way outside from the track of competition.
5. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Everyone falls short sometimes. If you fail to meet your goals for the week, take it as a lesson.
When the world and the people around you make you feel life hard, then at least don't make harder for your self. Love your self better. Forgive your own flaws and learn from your mistakes.
Lastly, consider to be the best version of your self when life knocks you down!
