I disagree with the premise that greed is good. I believe that we are in a predatory system, and for this time, greed can be incentivized and used in such a way that an escape from this system presents itself. But in our natural environment, humans are built for sharing, not greed. You can only have so much stuff in the real world. You can't eat all the food, you can't store all the food, you can't own all the houses, etc. But money is like a facilitator of bad behavior, allowing what was formerly impossible to not only exist, but to also be taken to an extremely destructive excess. So in general, I would argue that greed is a baser emotion that is played upon by our current system and should not be catered to.
