Who looks inside, awakes
Carl Jung, Swiss psychiatrist
I came across this quote some years ago ... it was so profound. I am a dreamer, an inventor of amazing alternative private scenarios.
There were many childhood fantasies of a snug little cottage in a small, flower & shrub filled garden - like Victoria Plum (woodland fairy).
Young adulthood brought about different fantasies - strong, gentle, beautiful eyed lovers - the eyes holding unfathomable depth of promise.
Marriage and motherhood brought about extreme contentment - a fulfilment of all those preceding fantasies.
My outward-looking dreams had turned inwards, and an awakening stirred ...
Being blessed with a child and grandchild, I will always be looking inwards ... drawing on the power that lives within. There is no peace, maybe it's an eternal quest.
I have no idea what Carl Jung would make of my personal adoption of his words ...
I was brought to this Quote of the Day challenge by - see original post here. Thanks for indulging me.
