600-Pound Woman Goes Outside For First Time In 7 Years As Neighborhood Sees Her Off To Hospital
By the time a mother named Bonnie finally decided to get help she weighed more than 600 pounds. After a lifetime of grief and depression, it had been five painful years since she actually left her bed.
Bonnie had become totally reliant on her twenty-something daughter. Other than that, she was isolated from the world and hidden away in her Los Angeles house.
With no one else to turn to, Bonnie’s friends and family contacted relationship expert Iyanla Vanzant. Bonnie was ready to check into a rehab facility to lose weight and walk again, but first came the challenge of physically removing her from the home.
After a construction crew cut a hole through her bedroom wall, paramedics placed her on a gurney and wheeled out of her bedroom before taking her to the hospital.
She left home for the first time in seven years.
In the emotional video below, Bonnie weeps as she smells the fresh air and feels the sun on her face for the first time in nearly a decade!
And there, at the end of Bonnie’s driveway, was another surprise.
