What an exciting time for Steemhouse Publishing! We have new faces on the team and fresh new energy in leadership. With our first book launch drawing nearer every day, it seems the time is right to give everyone a progress update.
As you may have read in previous posts, represented us well at Anarchapulco. He’s still in Mexico, but not for long. In a few days, he’ll travel to the U.S. and we’ll start planning our summer bookstore tour. This will be a face-to-face effort with owners and managers of independent bookstores about carrying Steemhouse products on their shelves. We have a different plan for big retailers like Barnes & Noble which involves being listed in the catalogues they shop from.
Michel has also stepped into a top executive role with Steemhouse Publishing. Other changes in leadership have included taking a position as co-admin of the Steemhouse Discord and
coming on board as an editor.
We’ve temporarily suspended workshops as , our workshop leader, is busy shearing all of Canada’s sheep. Well, maybe not all of them, but so many it probably feels like all of them. Workshops should resume in a few weeks.
We still welcome people to join our Discord, but please know that activity there has taken a bit of a back seat to our publication efforts. We have a fundraiser launching soon as well as pre-sales of the novel. Combine all this with preparation for a cross-country road tour and yeah—we’re some busy people!
If anyone out there in the Steem Universe has connections with an independent bookseller in the continental U.S., we’d love to hear about it. There’s a good possibility we could stop by this summer and talk to them about carrying products born on the blockchain!
