Magandang buhay!
It's been a while since I went to the backyard, and thank goodness I did around mid-afternoon today, because the eggplants were waiting to be picked. Some were already too mature; they are changing in color!
Never mind the chili peppers because they are not meant for me, lol! Besides, they are still so green. The workers usually pick them when they are red, unless they really need to make a spicy sauce.
I didn't realize the sacks of stinky chicken dung, which had been piled near the greenhouse turned-storage, were no longer there. That was one of the reasons why I avoided going to that side of the property, lol!
Now the dungs are gone, rolls of farm hoses are scattered like they were some trash. I wish they would organize them in one corner, so they'd look better. This area was where the LilGuy and I loved to spend some grass time in the summer.
Well, that's one of the not-so-good things about living on a farm. No matter how much you try to make the surroundings tidy and organized, you simply can't. Some are out of my control, like these. Thankfully, I don't see them every day, lol!
I actually planned to grow vegetables (for our consumption) on that spot and had purchased tunneling sticks and other supplies a few months ago; however, I realized it wouldn't be the best area after seeing the mess today, so I will have to find a nicer place to set up my wee tunnel.
Anyway, I was just chuffed with the fruits I found and harvested them while I was there. I'm not sure what to make of them yet, but we might make some torta in the morning.
Meanwhile, my little boy was mostly quiet during the day, and apart from his Dentastix, he refuses to eat anything. It must be due to the discomfort of the growing boil on his behind.
I didn't want to make him wear the e-collar, so I converted his Chucky costume into a wearable outfit that covered his butt area. I was glad it prevented him from licking.
Well, it's early evening down here, and it's time to prepare dinner! Before that, I'm going out to check if there's a sunset, so until next time!
