Pierre Curie discussed the dangers as well as the benefits of new discoveries in his Nobel Prize lecture #OnThisDay in 1905. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics together with his wife Marie Curie and Antoine Henri Becquerel.

REALITY(my comment): Had he been alive, the day-to-day happenings would have PIERCEd his heart because Mr. CURIE expected a positive outcome, but vice versa became a [sad] reality!
