QuarkChain is a high-throughput blockchain that aims to achieve millions of transactions per second, by using the concept of sharding.
I am going to do a small technical review along with core mechanics analysis about why this QuarkChain is not only beneficial for short-term but also for long-term investment.
Technical review is based on three fundamentals 1) Scalability 2) Security and 3) Decentralization. In order for Blockchain industry to move forward as a whole, we have to solve scalability problem, for this QuarkChain will have two layers, Sharding-layer and Root-layer, sharding layer will process the transactions and root layer will confirm the blocks by including the block headers of in the root block. The concept of sharding is also being used in centralized databases to solve scalability problems in the form of sub-databases. Root-layer has over 50% of the hash power, hence preventing double-spending attacks. QuarkChain also supports cost-effective and secure cross-chain sharding. Weak miners do not have to join a mining pool in order to collect their rewards, hence increase the decentralization.
QuarkChain and Zilliqa are the only two projects that have sharding available on testnet, so it doesn't have a lot of competitors. QuarkChain has a big active community on Telegram, which is the representation of a good project. Their team is quite good, in particular, their development is quite competent having world-class experience in the past. With all the positive things surrounding this project, I believe this project is going to a blast.
