I often get asked why I'm vegan, but when I answer truthfully, the people asking me aren't satisfied with my answer. I tell about the environmental and ethical reasons which made me leave animal products once and for all, and as a consequence, people feel offended. They feel judged, even though that's the last thing I'm aiming for. They feel uneasy, like I'd be accusing them for not acting as I am. I love to talk about veganism, especially about plant-based diet, since there are so many benefits to it, and I'd like as many people as possible to know about these advantages. However, recently I've been avoiding conversations about my veganism with new acquaintances, since I don't want to run into unnecessary conflicts. That's never my goal.

Therefore, I'm asking you, how do you deal with these kinds of situations?
If you've had similar experiences, I'd love to hear about them. I appreciate all your help! 😊
