Overthinking is a very common problem we have nowadays.
All the pressure on our shoulders and all the strive for perfection everywhere is taking it's toll. We are starting to doubt ourselves.
We have to leave good impressions to certain people to achieve certain goals.
It's totally normal. Everyone does it.
What we don't think of, is how it affects our mind.
Everytime we do something to impress someone we put a lot of energy in it.
This can form a behaviour like overthinking.
We are telling ourselves that we benefit from going the extra mile for others or that their opinions are something to measure our happyness and wellbeing.
I'm not saying you shouldn't do good to others, but keep in mind that yourself comes first.
Do you think your boss or your co-workers are sitting at home after a long day thinking about you? They are probably enjoing their free time with their families or are out on a drink with friends. They have their own lives to live and so do you.
What matters is how you think of yourself and how you want to be.
Think about it: What does it change when you are thinking about what others think of you?
NOTHING!
You can't change the others, but you can change yourself.
That is a very important thing to remember.
I wish all of you a great start into the second half of the week.
