I’ll choose five interesting quotes worth discussing
“Behind every great fortune lies a great crime.”
This probably his most popular quote and stealing from Bill Maher “I don’t know for a fact, I just know it’s true”. For the rich people here, he is not talking about you. He is talking about, you know, billionaires...
“The more one judges, the less one loves.”
Well when you love someone or something you are too busy loving that person or thing that your heart won’t let your brain judge. So yeah if you can judge someone so much, you definitely don’t love that person as much as you might think.
“Love is a game in which one always cheats.”
I’m not sure about this one. Every time I was in love in my life I basically made the same mistake over and over again, that is focusing on making that person happy and completely ignoring myself so I guess that quote didn’t really apply to me.
“Reading brings us unknown friends”
People who don’t read, they really don’t know what they are missing. I know, there are movies and TV shows but it’s not the same. The level in which you get to know a character in a book is so unbelievably deep that ten seasons of Friends don’t even get close to that.
“I am not deep, but I am very wide.”
This quote made me laugh at first but then I realized how deep it is. I think it means that being deep is like analyzing things from every angle and finding all the possible details and understandings. Being wide is more like being open minded and being able to accept many different perspectives. If I got this wrong, don’t hesitate to let me know in the comments.
