Some people seem to be looking for an opportunity to scream racism any chance that they get. I normally accuse these people of stirring a non-existent pot or trying to beg for "likes" by appearing to be more virtuous than the next person. Basically, I find these people irritating.
There is genuine racism in the world and in the USA but when we try to paint just anything as a racist situation it starts to seem like a "boy who cried wolf" situation. If you point at literally anything and call it racist, then when real actual racism arrives, people might not pay any attention to it.
Recently, there were some protests around the USA that you may have heard about. In some of these, especially in Michigan (which got the most press attention since it is a major swing state in Presidential elections) featured a bunch of people openly carrying some pretty scary looking rifles.
Now I'm not here to argue whether or not people can or should be allowed to have guns, that's not what this is about. I do think it was a bad idea to bring the guns with them to the capital building even though they are legally allowed to do exactly that in the state of Michigan. I just want to talk about how some people immediately tried to turn this into a racist situation.
Based on nothing other than speculation people were making wild accusations based on nothing at all saying things such as "If there had been just one person of color there, the whole group would have been arrested." Blanket statements like this always get a lot of likes or retwats or whatever because there are so many people out there that are looking for racism to be in just about anything.
So pictures like these started popping up in response to the claims of racism and how the presence of a person of color would change the rules for everyone.
You mean like this?
Even though most of the images that were shown were not even from the same protest and were actually from the Virginia pro-2nd Amendment rally, the point is still there.
When shown these people of color participating in open carry and not being arrested, the people who look for racism in anything would immediately reply something silly like "well of course there is only a few of them in a sea of whiteness" or "the cops must not have saw him" or even something which actually is racist such as "A few Uncle Tom coons don't change the overall picture."
Because these people aren't looking for solutions. It appears as though they so desperately want to be able to point out racism that they are willing to create it where it doesn't actually exist.
This next one really triggers them
MAGA hat, Trump flag, open carrying multiple legally owned firearms and he has the nerve to not be white.
This is not a political post on my part, it is one of frustration at the people in my feeds primarily on Facebook that are so dedicated to pointing out the ills of the world and lecturing others on them that they don't really even seem to care what the actual situation is anymore. They create racism out of thin air and a lot of other folks in their list, who I think are idiots also, just add fuel to the fire.
To paraphrase Ben Shapiro: "If you can find actual racism, especially government sponsored racism.. I will join you in fighting it with all that I have to offer, but when we suggest that this "racism" just exists somewhere in the ether but can't even point specifically to it outside of a cherry picked photo... I will not"
