Brothers in Arms, Race means nothing!
Human race and culture are complex entities through out the history of Mankind. So is our perception about life.
There had been centuries of bizarre thoughts and acceptance of a fact that a particular Race is inferior to the other.
This is the narration of Isreal Parra, a former US military officer stationed in Iraq few years back. To him, race means nothing when he was green with his comrades(In life action wearing Arm Uniform). They got each others back and they were brothers.
Parra Narration:
When i served in the Army, i came to the realization that our race as human beings means nothing but only the togetherness and culture you build means everything.
I remember when i was posted in Iraq, i sat in a guard tower with one of my brothers in Arms who use to hate blacks and mexicans; he grew up a racist so i do not hold that against him.
That day, he told me; "You know what Parra?" You are one of the coolest people i met, loyal to death and i never thought i would say this to a Mexican".
And i told him: it was because you were raised to think that way, but peope bleed the same "shade of Red".
He said; " You know what bro? I would Bleed for you...
I replied, "i would bleed for you too brother".
MORAL
Just because there is a different in skin color, or a language barrier and maybe a Geo-locational difference does not make us enemies or inferior to one another.
We all are human, we shared something powerful together which is the breath of life. This matters most than any other thing.
