Hello, steemians, and welcome to my page!
This is the first post that I've written since HF-20 borked the blockchain. I figured that it's almost back to normal now, so I might as well start writing posts again.
This post is about my ongoing project to rebuild the raised bed for my 7-1/2 inch gauge railroad. The reason for having the raised bed is that the yard has a bit of a slope to it and I wanted the railbed to be more or less level so that the railcars don't roll down the slope due to gravity.

Where I ended the last post, I was ready to finish filling the raised bed with fill dirt to cover the internal braces.
Once I got the west end of the raised bed filled to where I wanted it, I put a piece of the weed block back in place to prepare for the ballast gravel.
Then I had to fill in the other end of the section that had been rebuilt.
After that was done, I was able to put the rest of the weedblock back in place. I pulled a bit of gravel over it from the area further back in the raised bed.
After getting that far, I didn't have any more gravel to finish filling in the railbed, so I decided to finish the trestle section that runs off the west end of the raised bed. There wasn't very much to do to it, mostly just getting it put into place the way that I wanted it.
This is what the west end of the railroad looks like now.
All of this work was done a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on getting a load of gravel to finish filling in the raised bed so that I could get my track sections put back together, but the weather changed, and it's been raining off and on for most of the last 2 weeks, so I had not had the chance to get any more work done on it until today. That will be the subject of the next post in this series.
That's all I have for this post, I hope you found it interesting!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my post!
