We went to our local hot spring for a little R&R last night. As we soaked, a huge, full double rainbow appeared. There was a group of women soaking a few feet from us, so I said "Hey ladies!" and when they looked over, I nodded my head in my best "Look over there" gesture...
All photos taken with my Galazy LunaPro cell phone which, after weeks of giving all the other gadgets I own the silent treatment, (thankfully) decided to tell my computer what it knows this morning. AI is here, at least in my house, and it has a bad attitude...
WARNING! If I see a beautiful rainbow, I might try to get you to look at it.
They got defensive, thought I was nodding toward the sign with the rules, thought they were not supposed to be drinking in the pool. I found that odd as I was sitting there sipping my beer as I gestured. On further reflection it makes me a little sad. Has our society become SO combative that we immediately assume someone who gets our attention is angry at us? Once I explained what I was pointing at and we had a rather uncomfortable chuckle together, they moved to the other side of the pool anyway... lol! I don't blame them, they should not have to put up with random strangers asking them to look at rainbows and shit, it's a free country!
If you are offended by rainbow porn, please LOOK AWAY!
We soaked a while longer, then headed home. The last vestiges of the double were still visible.
I did not have my phone at the pool, this is hardly a fair representation of the full glory!
The main rainbow was still very bright. It was the longest lasting rainbow I think I have ever seen, it had to have been there most of an hour. As we got nearer our place, it seemed we might find a pot of gold at our house. The rainbow looked like it had an end on our little hill. When we rounded the last turn toward home, it turned out the rainbow was across the highway
Hmmm... Leprechauns granting fishy wishes today??
Rats! Wrong side of the highway!
Still, a treasure to behold!
NAMASTE!!!
