Hit the Road Oct 24, 2016. Stared out in Santa Cruz where I'd lived for decades. Great coastal camping north of Santa Cruz, Loved Greyhound Rock, spent some time in Half Moon Bay then drove over the Bay bridge to the East Bay, tooled around the South Bay for a while then slowly made it down the coast, you can actually drive on Pismo Beach! camp too! made stops and overnight stays down the PCH to Ventura where I headed inland to Slab City, arriving Christmas eve. The Range had entertainment, and a lot of other places appeared for the season. Went to the coast to see San Diego, spent three weeks in Ocean Beach (the OB locals call it) way cool town, like the 60's never left. Spent some time in Pacific Beach, and wound up in Oceanside (loved the town, the pier).
I came back to Slab City and soon i'm heading back to Santa Cruz for a few days then Planning on heading up to The Rainbow gathering at the end of June (July 1-7) then onto the Oregon Country Fair July 7th. If you haven't heard of these events u should look em up. Afterwards make my way to Salem for the total eclipse on August 21st. Visit some friends in Portland and Seaside on the Oregon Coast. After that, who knows.... I'm taking it as It comes until I return to Oceanside / So Cal, Slab City in November, December.
