Magandang buhay💛
A downpour occurred mid-afternoon (2:45). It went on without stopping until past 5. Nature is truly generous.
We were in the kitchen around 3. I was about to prepare snacks when a really bright flash of lightning came through the open windows, followed quickly by the loudest thunder we have ever heard, and then the lights went off.
I screamed (unintentionally). Then my legs went numb, and my body trembled. I had muffled hearing, as though my ears were filled with water. Frozen where I was, until I remembered...
Where's my little boy?
I moved away from the windows and frantically looked for him. He was hiding under a chair, under the table, shaking. I took him in my arms, and we sat on the floor, cuddling for 10, or maybe 20 minutes. We still saw flashes of lightning and heard the rumble, but at least, it was not as loud as the very first. It seemed more distant, like it was moving away from us, thank goodness!
My boy calmed down, and so did I. The lights came on (power was restored), and I noticed my phone on the floor. I must have dropped it while screaming. The scenario in my mind made me laugh out of amusement. Some crazy things happen when we are terribly frightened (or maybe it's just me).
It's quiet now. The evening is cool, and we are doing fine. We might already be snoring by the time this goes out.😅
But before that, it's that time again for the weekly update of our slothly goal. 80 HIVE was added, ending the week (20) with 842 in the wallet. That means only 158 HIVE more to go, and the 1k target is reached, yay!
We will set a new one when that happens. Until then, we keep on. Cheers to a wonderful midweek!
