Wow...That Flipstar guy is killing it with his last posts
I wish...but if you take a look in my wallet you see that I put quite a bit of SBD in every post and probably in this one, too.
As much in life I am not sure how I feel about the voting bots.
source
They are useful for....
...making your posts a bit or with deeper pockets even a lot more visible.
...pushing your reputation
...sometimes you can even make a profit if you find a round with not enough bids
On the other hand I feel that so much SP is locked up and only comes out to play if you pay for it. Especially now where you as a normal user can sell your voting power through them.
I do that as well. I have it set to 98% so I dont waste votingpower if I dont have time to curate myself.
In my opinion that is a useful way. Someone wants to promote his post and I don`t waste votingpower by not letting it reach 100% and get some SBD for it.
Win-Win
When I am getting active again I want to curate myself. Support good content and those who support me.
The thing which keeps me hopeful that we don`t see a bot desert here were every vote you get except your own has to be paid for is what people often criticize
People often want a reward back
Meaning you give upvotes to earn upvotes. That does not necessary mean to only upvote whom upvotes you.
No, quite the opposite. Go out there find people you like and create a relationship with them.
How?
Upvotes come to mind
The more SP you have the more your upvote gets notices of course.
There is a point where it becomes more profitable for you to post and engage than just have everything delegated to a bot or on auto sell.
That still means you have to post yourself of course.
I think only a powered up Steem is a good Steem
And I prefer to have it powered up in bots than not at all.
I would prefer it even more if the Steem was not for hire like a mercenary but I am also happy to see that more and more rules get integrated.
Should a bought vote be profitable?
As I see it every 2.4 hours the bidding bots offer a new product. It is up to you and your research (how many people bid this round, what is the value of the vote etc).
Sometimes you can find an extremely profitable round sometimes you loose quite a lot. When it is just for exposure of your post you should not mind either way.
Myself I started to hunt a bit the profitable rounds. A problem I can see is of course to have enough content ready for the bots to vote on, which can produce a lot of shit posts.
I try to keep my low standard
The money which can be made is per round usually pretty small but the bots run 24/7 so it adds up and it takes it toll on the reward pool the community did not really agree on to give as it was bought.
But as I said they will not vote anyway if you don`t pay.
For myself...I think I will keep using them for now but to be honest I would not mind if there would come a change which would make bots a thing of the past.
What are your thought?
