Like most people who know what the internet is and how to use it, i don't watch news on TV but some stories just go everywhere and are impossible to avoid. The latest deaths in the coordinated Sri Lankan attack is truly tragic and awful - and it is also awful the way that the media, instead of focusing on the actual event are focusing on what politicians say about it.
This time, the media absurdities that keep us all rolling our eyes at how awful the "news" is.... is coming from Conservatives. I think that the left is more guilty of this very act but this time it is from the other side. In case you don't know the outrage is that Clinton and Obama (and a few other Democrats) referred to the bombing victims as "Easter Worshippers* instead of "Christians." They then draw all these conclusions about how the left are ready to take the side of Muslims but never the side of Christians.
Let's get this straight: I can not stand Clinton - I think she is one of the most vile individuals to ever enter politics and Obama, I'm relatively indifferent towards him. I do not affiliate with either party and am defending no one. I just think the major media outlets have simply become completely unreliable and everything they spew is an Op-Ed piece instead of actual news.
The thing that makes me SMH about this situation is that many conservatives and conservative media outlets, have spent the past 3 years talking about how it is ridiculous the way the left attacks what Trump says, rather than what he does.... I actually agreed with them about this and still do. However, now here they are, doing exactly the same thing in reverse.
Mostly, I don't really care about people's words and I hate that any time a politician says something even mildly out of place there are calls for their removal from office, ostracization from society, tar and feathering, and beheading. Also, it kind of depends on the media spin for how people are going to feel about this and it all boils down to brainwashing and party loyalty.
It all began because of Clinton's very specific wordings in the tweet about the New Zealand mosque attack:

I can understand how a news agency might want to devote just a side piece to this, because it is a bit odd that she has such a different tone in both of them when they are very similar attacks but right on cue, the liberal outlets are devoting hours to defending her, and the conservative ones are devoting hours to attacking her..... over some Tweets..
I look at all of these politicians and think that there are many many reasons to dislike them, pretty much any politician, but instead we devote hours, nay!, days to talking about Tweets! Predictably, social media follows suit proving once again that the people of the world are easily manipulated into various cults.
In a time where everyone is claiming to be more busy and making less money than ever before it seems that an awful lot of people are able to devote an extraordinary amount of time towards something that can't be resolved and doesn't actually mean anything.
Thankfully, it seems that more and more people are getting fed up with MSM's bullhickory as a recent poll shows that less than 30% of people trust the media. At least that is a step in the right direction... i guess.
on to the next concocted outrage!
