RATTLESNAKE CHEESE WITH TEQUILA
Strolling through my local grocery store and I happened to stop by the cheese section.
I walked by and this Ratlesnake cheese almost jumped out and bit me.
I was struck by the design on the label. When you see a skull, a rattlesnake crawling through the eye holes, "just released", and TEQUILA, what could go wrong?
I read the ingredient list just to make sure there wasn't actual Rattlesnake in the cheese because EWWWW!
I am not a tequila fan but I figured there was more flavor in the cheese than alcohol and I wouldn't get sauced by eating a few pieces.
There are also habaneros listed and I like me a little spicy every now and then.
The cheese must have slithered into my basket because when I got home....there it was.
I put it in my kindly fridge and pretty much forgot about the cheese until later in the evening.
I had been on discord chatting away and all that typing was making me hungry.
I went to the fridgey and there it was RATTLESNAKE CHEESE.
Did I hear a faint rattle or was that just my imagination?
I found a handy cutting board and knife then....I cut the cheese.
I actually sliced some off. When I said "cut the cheese" what were you thinking I meant?
This cheese is HOT and that is no understatement.
My daughter came home from work and wanted to try a piece. I warned her but she had to be tough. She took the piece and chewed it up.
There was a delay at first. Rattlesnake cheese sneaks up on a person.
Then her face got RED. She is a red head and is fair complected so her color difference was quite obvious.
A short minute passed and she was trying to act like it was the mildest cheese ever...then she got hiccups because of the heat.
This is certainly a spicy lovers dream cheese. It has a very good sweet flavor (from the tequila)but without a glass of milk handy this cheese will almost hurt ya.
It definitely has a big bite.
