Hive can set your inner whale free
I was reading a post by on Abundance on Hive, then a comment by
caught my eye. It said …free your inner whale.
I stepped back and thought about that and realized that we all come to Hive with a multitude of different talents, drawn by the promise of a decentralized blockchain community which is censorship resistent, we own our own content, and we build our own audience. All the while building up our stake and thus our influence, to help shape this community into what we want it to be…
Change is natural and necessary
I think a place like Hive makes us all grow, change and become hopefully better versions of ourselves. I hope we all reach our full potentiality…becoming the best version of our individual hopes and dreams, not just caterpillars or a still borne chrysalis, but eventually butterflies if that’s what your ultimate form is to be…
Whales in training
As I read ’s article about the great potentialities of Hive in the brave new world of Web 3.0 , I couldn’t help but read between the lines and see how Hive was finally being recognized for it’s full potential and value. But more importantly how Hive would allow individuals to do the same.
We are all full of potential, hopes, dreams, talents…things which could one day make each of us as big as whales… in some way, metaphorically or in actuality. Hive has dApps and platforms of all types, tokenized social media as Hive, tokenized gaming, tokenized video blogs, tokenized finance and more.
Fast, free transactions and great scaleability are hollow words to the uninformed. But time has shown it’s value.
A solid first layer backbone and flexible and creative second layer as attributes are meaningless until Splinterlands, Leofinance, Proof of Brain and others appear.
These are a few examples of tools here on Hive, which will help us reach our potential. But we each need to stretch our wings and fly, to soar to the height of our full potential. We must tell ourselves to be the whale we were meant to be.
Closing thoughts
Actor Denzil Washington gave a speech at a college commencement, and he quoted a story by motivational speaker Willie Brown:
A man lie dying in bed, surrounded by ghosts. These ghosts were his hopes and dreams he never fulfilled. He looked around his bed and they all had the same sad look on their faces. #But-then-they-spoke: We hoped that you would give us life, but you did not, and now as you lay dying, we face our own death, knowing that we never got the chance to live.
When you die, what ghosts will surround your bed?
What great talent lies within you, waiting to get out?
Why is your inner whale pushing against the walls of its cage trying to get out?
Free Your Willy!
