This is deep. At a young age we instill in children what is right and what is wrong, what is to be rewarded and what is punishable. Yet if you look at this post you realize that a lot of parents are doing it the wrong way around (I'm been guilty at times of this). We then grow up thinking that having to read is no less than punishment. Very eye-opening. Lets make reading a fun thing for kids. Something to look forward to at the end of the day when you cuddle in bed with a good book and read and laugh. Parents should read in their free time and show children that reading is for fun and relaxation too. Take them to the library on a holiday. Also dont let them associate books with just school work. Use books for the many ways they prove beneficial, for looking up a recipe, learning about a new culture. Make it fun for the kids. And tv? Dump it! Kill it! Not only is the extra screen time bad for eyes, with the type of junk they are showing on tv nowadays its better to not even bother............ #KillYourTV
