Magandang buhay💛
A lovely midweek in BC. Still windy, cold, and dusty, which reminded me that the rain hasn't visited our place. There's barely a week left in the month, so it will be awesome if it rains before April. Last year, the rain poured in the first week of March. I remember it very well because it was the town fiesta parade when it happened, so we just had a meal in the valley and then drove to DD soon after.
Anyway, it had been a long while since the last time I read something. Today, I sort of got back to it with the (audio)books How to Become Dangerously Confident, Never Get Angry, and Rebuild Yourself. This wouldn't have been possible if I had to sit down and read. I doubt I would be able to stay put and finish any, let alone get past page 10, or page 5, lol!
It may sound funny, but I tend to feel sleepy when I read. That is why when I'm having a tough night, I would take a book and start reading (I forgot to do that a few nights ago).😁
I don't know what or how it happened. But I used to love reading, and I have collected several books that now occupy (collecting dust) on the shelves here at home in BC. Some I have re-read a couple of times, and a few I have yet to consume.
Thankfully, there are free and accessible recorded versions on YouTube. I just have to find the voice that my ears like to listen to, so I can focus on it while doing other things. I was actually surprised to have completed 3 the whole afternoon. The experience brought back some good memories of when I often consumed books (in audio form) by Napoleon Hill.
Will I read again tomorrow?
Most definitely. I like to go back to this good habit, which not only improves focus but also stimulates the brain.
