This book captures your attention from the opening line and knows what it's about. The plot itself is intriguing, but the book is more about what effects the plot has on its main character; themes present throughout the book all bounce off of each other very well, culminating in a final message that I feel like I needed to hear. It is written in first person with a very unique voice, and it does a very good job of maintaining it's "vibe" and sucked me in very well. My one complaint is that in some parts the reader is simply given conclusions that should have, in my opinion, been left to the interpretation of the audience.
Overall this was a very good book. It's the first one in a while that's completely captured my attention.
