The Yamaha Monster Energy racer, Maverick Vinales, was still unable to perform consistently at the beginning of the second half of MotoGP 2019.

After stunning performances in the last two series of the first half of the 2019 MotoGP, Maverick Vinales has not been able to continue that positive trend. The latest racer nicknamed Top Gun was only able to reach fifth place finish when paving at the Red Bull Ring, Austria last week.
Maverick Vinales had a competitive appearance during the 2019 Austrian MotoGP free training session rolling by always in the top five of the fastest racers. Valentino Rossi's teammate admitted that he was still having trouble and was not fully able to perform consistently while riding a Yamaha YZR-M1.

Vinales said that he was not a match for the Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez who appeared dominant this season. After competing in the 2019 Austrian MotoGP, Maverick Vinales must be willing to position himself in the table while being displaced by Valentino Rossi.
The Spanish rider is now ranked sixth with a total of 102 points or just behind Valentino Rossi. After visiting Austria, the 2019 MotoGP will enter the 12th race which will be held at the Silverstone Circuit, England on 23-25 August 2019.
