According to the news, Andrew Yang says,
"it is “ridiculous” that in 2020, Americans are still standing in line “for hours” to cast a vote in booths, and that blockchain can solve this issue. “It is 100% technically possible to have fraud-proof voting on our mobile phones today using the blockchain,
He further says,
" As President, I will…work to modernize our voting infrastructure to utilize modern technology to make it easier and more secure to vote, thus increasing the number of Americans participating in our democracy,”
According to me, these two +ve statements of Andrew Yang like that of Eric Swalwell from California and McAfee are clearcut evidence of change of attitudes of U.S authorities towards cryptocurency which will lead America towards another success in the crypto world.
On the other hand, when I examine opinions of experts of cybersecurity and voting, who say,
1: Online ballots are more secure than blockchains.
2: Mail-in votes can be altered or stolen.
3: Election officials might count inaccurately.
4: Every electronic voting machine can be hacked.
I come to the conclusion that these are just doubts of experts, these can be removed with the usage of Democracy Earth, a blockchain voting start-up
because it ,d help to increase voter access to elections while improving tamper-resistance and public auditability and to prevent corruption by decentralizing the voting process, subjecting each decision and vote to the public review of a blockchain.
