When I first got my dispenser, it came with zero instructions, and I had to look it up online, having never used one before. So I thought I would share!
You control the ingredients (I am literally allergic to pre made store cans of whipped cream in the store because naturally they put other shit in it) doing it this way, and there isn't the hassle of trying to do it by hand. I tried that - when all you want is one little blob to put on one glass of hot cocoa, it doesn't work so well with a whisk or shaking in a jar. So I asked for this as my xmas gift a couple of years back, and I use it all the time.
Pour in a pint of heavy whipping cream.
Add two Tablespoons of powdered sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla (yes, I reuse maple syrup jars. They're perfect for vanilla when you make that yourself too).
Put just the lid on, without any of the attachments, aaaaaand...
Shake like you're making James Bond a martini.
Your whipped cream charger (little canisters of gas) goes in the metal tube first, THEN you screw it onto the lid. You'll hear the gas going in.
Don't attach it to the lid before you attach the lid to the whipped cream, or you'll be doing Accidental Whippets.
Then shake again, and attach your icing tip spigot thingy (what do you call that?).
Enjoy!
