I haven't done a deep dive into James Blake's stuff, but I'm a fan of this new one he released a couple weeks ago on Polydor. Minimalistic in its instrumental arrangements, but complex in the way that James dances with his voice. An interesting approach to a music video too. Lyrics scribbled onto a note on someone's iPhone. That's a sanctuary for hidden thoughts in the modern age. The beat/vocals/lyrics combo create a catchy but somber piece of self-reflection. If anyone's got some other James Blake recommendations to get me started, send them my way!
