Horns and vibes, vibes and horns. That's the mood as we wind through a sunny day here in Kuala Lumpur. Back on the #recordpool tip with "Red, Black & Green" by Roy Ayers. If you don't know the man, he's the worlds best Vibraphone player and is one of the most sampled Artists of all time. Oh and I had a chance to see him live in Toronto back in the early 2000's!
Continuing with Black History Month my selection is in the same vein as my earlier Nina Simone post celebrating the Mother Land and embodying those African roots in some very uplifting music. I'm a huge fan of Roy Ayers so this was the logical selection. Taken from the 1973 "Red, Black & Green" album, where you can find gems such as Ain't No Sunshine and Day Dreaming.
