If your into old LP's like I am your biggest frustration is playing them only to be haunted by excessive pops, clicks and background noise. Most of this is due to dirt, mold and dust that collects in the groves even if properly stored. Before I purchased a professional record cleaner I used the process outlined in the video below with excellent results. LP's are actually pretty indestructible if properly handled and played on a good light tracking turntable. I still use this method for all my flea market 45's. I have found Lemon Joy to be the best product because it rinses so clear. On word of caution - don't scrub the label they can come loose.
