It's an unfortunate situation. But how sure are we that they actually disappeared, since it was just barely a month the business was opened? Also, I heard that they came with a trailer load of rice during that chaos.
Also, I don't think those bags of rice and gallons of oil those hoodlums carted away would have been there if they actually packed up.
Agreed, that business looked too good to be true, but they might have actually been genuine. Also, there might be a reason people had to wait for a week before picking up their purchases, Logistics could be one of them, not sure though. But in all, every business has its own modus operandi.
Granted, greed might have propelled the owners to open up the business, but I tell you what, the customers, especially those who invested millions of naira indulged them. In fact, they're the more greedy ones.
