2020: It's Time For a New Viewing Lens on ReggaeSteem
The feed has been looking really good lately, so we commend all ReggaeSteemians for their valiant efforts. It should feel good to be a part of this tribe, which is something much, much greater. There is nothing that can't be shared so long it pertains to Jamaican, Caribbean, and the culture thereof. That means anything that fits under this vastly diverse umbrella is freely able to be shared and expressed - music, food, fashion, art, news, current events, statistics, education, sports, you name it.
There are exceptions; however, and any negative content toward the like will not be tolerated. There really has not been any content like this, so continue to add value to the ecosystem and we shall all be rewarded. 2020 should be a really great year for all of us that continue our wonderful times here on ReggaeSteem.
One thing we are beginning to see more and more of is current statistics regarding tourism brought to the feed by which has actually sparked some more serious discussion from another amazing ReggaeSteemian,
. This is the type of content and engagement that will propel ReggaeSteem to the next level and also help us to better understand target audiences when it comes to tourists venturing to the Caribbean region.
So, expand your viewing lens and begin to experiment with new types of content that you have not dabbled in before. Use the internet to your advantage to research things that are unique and that can be shared on the feed others have not already. does a great job with this, finding current Caribbean happenings, researching them more in-depth, and then sharing them with us here on Reggaesteem.io. Or, there's content like

Reggae Founding Fathers to be in Featured Film, (2021)
Reggae is a very diverse music genre. It has many sub genres that have birthed over the years since reggae's origination, two of them being: Ska and Rocksteady. There have been new and old manifested from these sub genres alone, diversifying reggae more and more throughout the years. A recent news article from The Caribbean Life News Journal, announced the rebirth of these specific sub genres through an expected TV documentary set to release some time in 2021.
The documentary is said to explore the origins and evolution of Reggae more in-depth, and will also be filmed at select locations throughout the island, of which will have to be found out at a later date.
That means you will have to watch the documentary when it's released in 2021 ;)
Interviews have already been planned with legends from the Ska and Rocksteady era as part of the one-hour production. The plans of currently rekindling the fire for SKA and Rocksteady are set in the crosshairs, and if all goes as planned, the documentary will roll out on a global scale. This will help share and spread the upbringings of reggae from the perspective of the real time legends that started these movements back in the 50s which has spanned through time until current day. Here are a few quotes from Executive Producer, Marcia Deans:
“The Caribbean people need to know the actual artistes who started it. We are going down memory lane."
“We are going to interview them. We are going to go where the music was where they started the music.”
-Exec. Producer, Marica Deans

This film will be a good way to tell the real story and origins of how reggae music was created, how it evolved, and how it has helped shape the way new up and coming artists have come about from the perspectives of old time living legends. I'm definitely going to keep this one on my radar to see how it progresses and will be on the look out for the release date. I will share this will you all when I know more details.
