Great Minds,
Yesterday was a very bad one for my colleagues and I but mostly it was a disaster for my very dear friend. It was an issue of love and heart break. I can not really say to what extend the damage to my friend's life but it was really bad.
It goes this way, my very good friend is one of the very last among the four of us to marry, and all eyes were on him just to hear when he will just say here is the girl I want to marry. He is reserve and very intelligent, a medical Doctor by profession.
Just yesterday he called the rest of us and told us that he want us to meet his girl, the woman he wanted to marry. Men! We were excited and eager to meet the lady. He arranged it at an Eatery. The meeting was slated at 1600 Nigerian time and fortunately, everyone of us were quite on time including the lady herself. But just as we were well entertained and looking forward to the real introduction and the deal of the day. Yes my friend started and eventually let the cat out of the bag.
Here is his words "Gentlemen, this is Jenifer, the lady I want to marry so guys welcome my sweet love Jenifer"
That was it and the next thing, the lady shouted NO! NO! We are not for marriage oh, we are just friends, I never had any marriage intention with him oh. To make the matter worse, she went further to state that she is betrothed to someone's else. Then she left in anger. We were all dumbfounded and ashamed for our friend. Not knowing what to say but we summoned courage to talk to him and encourage him not to worry that the right person will come at the very right time.
Well such a rough time for my friend, he is still down and heartbroken, it was really painful but it has happened. I felt so touched and disturbed about the whole thing.
Love is strength and pain sometimes it is sweet and sometimes it is bitter.
