A New Thing

God can make a way when all other options prove impossible. He can lead you forward when you thought you had to stay. He can abundantly provide when you planned to do without. We can get so wrapped up in the logistics of life we forget that if God is the leader in our lives, He can easily supply our need. He's not constrained by a checkbook. He doesn't have to broker any deals. He can do exactly what He wants, when He wants and in any way He chooses.

Isaiah 43:19

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall
spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even
make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the
desert.

This verse from Isaiah suggests a promise of mercy, an act of love and an offer of blessing. The Lord can do the same for you today. Each of us can return from living apart from God and have the same offer of mercy, love and blessing because of the work Jesus finished on the cross. However, if you don't want to change and leave where you've been, how can you experience the joy of coming home?

I heard on the radio yesterday, the story of a Muslim man who recently converted to Christianity. He said he had prayed to the Muslim god and prophet about something specific in his life and nothing happened. He then prayed in the name of Jesus Christ and the thing in his life was restored to him.
