Living Against the Grain

Colossians 3:18-21

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands,
as it is fit in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter
against them.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for
this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest
they be discouraged.

Family is Under Attack! in this day and age. The devil has worked hard to redefine family not in line with the Bible. Obviously, in our modern era, this wise verse from Paul to the Colossians is controversial. Can we live against the grain and follow this clear instruction? This could also say wives RESPECT your husbands and husbands LOVE your wives. Because women need love, but men need respect most of all. It should be a blessing to a wife, not a curse, to submit to the husband. Just as Christ is the head of man and came to serve...

Mark 10:45

44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall
be servant of all.
45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered
unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom
for many.

1 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every
man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man;
and the head of Christ is God.

This is not an order of demeaning superiority but an order of care and service. Husbands do not let bitterness fester in your marriage. Do not hold grudges against your wife. God Bless You and be good to each other as Christ is good to you.
