Trust

Let not your life be troubled and do not think that the Lord is not continually searching to discover the evil in us. The Lord Jesus came to save that which was lost; to be exact, He came for sinners that He may transform them into sons of God. You have innumerable proofs of God's love for you.

Trust in Christ

One thought which must dominate every prayer is the thought of trust. Hope leads us, sinners though we are, to trust. We are all invited to trust in the passion of Jesus Christ because in it is our strength. From it comes our sanctification. And so let us approach the Lord with a humble and contrite heart, full of trust. The merits of Jesus Christ were won for us, and His sufferings not only make reparations for our sins but sanctify our entire lives.

Proverbs 3:3-8

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them
about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine
heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean
not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and
depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy
bones.

Luke 16:10-13

10 He that is faithful in that which is least is
faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the
least is unjust also in much.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the
unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the
true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is
another man's, who shall give you that which is your
own?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one, and love the other; or else he
will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye
cannot serve God and mammon.
