There is no end to the trail of compromise. It is a slippery slope, a regret-filled downward spiral. For every compromise, you only open the door to more. Each one weakens your will and your ability to say no.
Notice how you thought it would only be the first time, or perhaps, the last time. What's the count now? Compromise is a smart investor. It doesn't do one-off transactions. You invest and you can't cash out. Nothing like "it was nice doing business with you"; the business has just begun.
The only end is NOT TO compromise. But then, no matter where you are on the spiral, do not make any further compromise! Nip it the bud, and if it's grown full-blown, Jesus says "cut it off".
Cut him off! Cut her off! Cut them off! Cut yourself off!
It's not always easy but when you peep into Compromise's diary and see it's long term objective, you'd see the expediency of the matter.
Gather strength and courage from Jesus. Faithful is He that calleth you, He will help you.
No more; not any more.
You give in, you cave in.
You give it up, you get all up.
