HAPPY NEW Year to everyone...
This my post is gonna treat the issue whereby some Muslim that tagged themselves ahlu sunnah said it ain't permissible to congratulate Christians merry Christmas and happy new year, I will say a total "NO" to that, why can't Muslim congratulate their Christian friend and we are preaching peace among to people and where the peace here of we can't rejoice with our Christian brothers, so to those that have pointless view saying Muslim shouldn't congratulate their Christian friend, they are just saying rubbish as I'm gonna bring some point in the Quran whrre God asked us to eat and dine with other religion such as jew and Christian...

Let me start by this u were supposed to start with ma โ๐ปโ๐ปโ๐ป(greetings) now let me treat the issue although it was not framed as a question but there are a lot of questions underneath which will be unleashed in sha Allah and questions are welcomed in sha Allah....
Firstly I can't really say what you can't believe in the statement HAPPY NEW YEAR, is it that we are not yet in a new year? Or the new year is not supposed to be attached with HAPPY? There's no doubt as the word HAPPY is a prayer that this year we begin today should be a sadness free year and NEW is used for any thing that has not been in existence till moment but has just began and year is a calculation of days,weeks and months either lunar (hijrah) or solar (Gregorian ) which both are said to be 12months
Another question I might think u intended asking get u amazed is that is it islamical to greet each other happy new year for Gregorian years due to the history we've been hearing ?

What might have bring about this question is due to the mindset different sets of scholars from biased sects we belong has influenced us with,but alhamdulilah I stand out as i belong to no sect nor empowered/sponsored by no sect i make researches and bring about what is right
Let me now answer the questions.
Firstly ,hijrah calendar started counting when the prophet (pbuh) did the first hijrah from Makkah - madina,and as we all know before the prophet was made a prophet,counting of year was in existence,even the prophet's birthday was not in hijrah 570Ad as popularly known Ad means after the death of Christ and till date that can never be changed...if its possible, the prophet would have changed the birth year from AD - something better.
Secondly we do hear a lot of history pertaining to this Gregorian calendar but nothing gives us assurance that any of the history was right
Some said even those names (January - december) was after each idols worshipped in those month as in January was named after the idol called Janus ...but I disagree,I believe its just an English name for the month,if the person was right,please ask the person in French it is called janvier does French idol worshipped in this month have a different name? Don't let us go far....in Yoruba its called serere...what is the name of the idol Yoruba people worship during serere (January) to have named this month after the idol? And they all are counted by same date in the whole world... If we are in january 1st in English speaking country ,we are also in 1ere janvier in French country and ojo kini OSU serere in Yoruba land just as different name in other local and foreign languages,WHAT ARE THEY CALLED IN YOUR LANGUAGE AND AFTER WHICH IDOLS ARE THEY NAMED?

And We have made the night and the day two signs, then We have made the sign of the night to pass away and We have made the sign of the day manifest, so that you may seek grace from your Lord, and that you might know the numbering of years and the reckoning; and We have explained everything with distinctness.
These โ๐ปโ๐ปโ๐ป two verses shows us that Allah made sun (solar) and day for us so we can count years by it (Gregorian calender) and also moon (lunar) and night for us also to count years (hijrah calendar) so tell those giving different histories about the commencement of Gregorian calendar to bring proofs from Quran if truly they were right...this shows it has been in existence ever since and Allah approved it as he was the originator
Now let me ask two questions and round up the topic

Question 1
During the lifetime of prophet,were there no non-beleivers? Were they also using hijrah calendar? If no then what was the prophet's point of view about their calendar?
Question 2
How many of us know his/her date of birth in hijrah calendar? But we will never crack our brain before we answer when it comes to Gregorian calendar....
If it was wrong islamically those who fought for Islam to reign in the world would have fought for it together in the past and you wouldn't have met it so rampant this way nowadays

HE WHOEVER COUNT GREGORIAN CALENDER AS UNISLAMICAL DOESN'T BELIEVE IN ALLAH (THE ABOVE TWO VERSES)
