I honestly believe that people out there need to hear this Psalm and take comfort from it. People struggle. Life closes in all around us. Sometimes it can seem like our prayers are not heard because of the great storms. In these times doubt can creep in. Sometimes we can question our standing before the Lord because God has not chosen to answer our prayers in the time, place, or the fashion we would like. These are the hardest times to trust God.
Rather than question our standing before God, we must take the words of the Psalmist to heart. We pray to the Lord to hear our cry (supplication) and we realize that His faithfulness is the reason the Lord will always answer your prayer. We must trust that He always hears our prayers. Trusting in His time is often quite difficult, but will be rewarding in the end. God does not answer us based on our performance. Rather, this Psalm teaches us that God answers from His faithfulness, not ours. Sin must have no place in our lives, but do not let those doubts into your mind. God's faithfulness is one of His enduring traits. If God promised it, then it will come to pass. Keep praying, Keep believing and mostly don't give up! God will answer based on His righteousness!
