I am a Hindu by my religion and I am taught to believe in umpteen number of God's and goddesses that are worshipped by other Hindu's. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, krishna, Rama, Durga, Saraswati etc etc all are considered as Hindu God's and goddesses. While some god hold the right to promise prosperity, others have the right to grant you health and there also is a god that would help you avoid falling in difficult situations, in short, it is best to follow every good to get the best of it all.
I am a believer in god, but I find it very silly when people go to temple and fight in the queue over who will get to see the god first. It is all wrong. People should understand that God is everywhere. You don't have to stand in long queues to look at the god. All you need to do is keep yourself calm and close your eyes and concentrate and you'll see how good looks.
Temples have imaginatory figures of God which is actually not how God would personally like, so why fight for it. I visit temple, but just for the quite atmosphere that it offers. I don't usually look god instead I sit in one corner imagining him.
I have seen people tell their kids to pray asking wealth and health, so let me tell you mother's, praying won't help a bit. God has already decided our fate at the time we are born and nothing can change it. All you need to ask for is a clean life without any sins.
Shops are loaded with idols of God's with a price tag. People but them and bring them home, worship them and then go out and commit crimes, is the purpose solved?
God never created religions, it is us who divided them and gave them different name. God is a supreme power who created this world. There cannot be different God's who created different world for their followers, so who are we to do so?
Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc are just our ideas for creating walls between us. We should stop doing this and live as one big family that's when the almighty would be actually happy.
