ecoDesigns Weekly Report:
It's been a very busy week for us at and we have a lot of work since people amidst the socio-political crisis are preparing to celebrate the Christmas holiday. We have witnessed a very significant increase in the number of clients and we averagely have 10 - 20 persons visit our hub every day.
We however regret that we have not been able to post updates from our hub for some time because our content creator was sick but he is now healthy and back to work. Be sure to get fresh updates and videos of our work and how its changing the lives of people and the planet.
1. Textile Upcycling
This week, we have been working on the production of Mattresses with textile waste. Our goal is to produce 20 mattresses and give to internally displaced persons who are victims of the anglophone crisis. To realize this goal, all our trainees were tasked with preparing 3 buckets of small sizes of textile offcuts. On Tuesday, we shall produce the textile upcycled mattresses and you will be amazed with our work.
We also upcycled an old jeans with africtude material to give it a new touch as you can read here: https://steemit.com/fundition-k0e6dkdlw/@ecodesigns/ecodesigns-upcycled-garment-of-the-week-ecodress-of-the-week
2. Fashion designing and Embroidery
We have witnessed a very significant increase in the number of clients we receive everyday. We averagely have had 10 - 20 persons visit our hub on a daily basis and perhaps it's because its the Christmas season. However, we hope to satisfy these clients so that they keep coming and serve as our referees for future clients.
More clients means more work for our trainees and trainers, hence the trainees get to learn more designs and acquire new skills.

We believe with your support, we will be 100% crowdfunded by the end of December 2018.
5. Steem Fall
The recent fall in the price of steem is a major draw back for some of our activities and we can't purchase more machines because of the fall in the price of steem. Our hope is that the price of steem should rise this month so that we can purchase more machines.
This is just a brief weekly update we thought we should share with you. Peace!
#Call2Action
We can do more but we lack materials and machines to increase our textile recycling and women empowerment project. We have 11 trainees and 02 Training Directors but have just 06 machines which are not enough for the 13 young girls who are striving to get empowered as well as clean-up the world. It is for this reason that is striving to raise funds to purchase 7 machines so that we can double our productivity and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our textile recycling and fashion designing training.
