Cover of the January 1995 issue of Amiga CD32 Gamer
The Amiga CD32 was basically Commodore's attempt at turning the Amiga 1200 into a gaming machine with a CD-ROM drive. The hardware was fine but from Commodore it was too little too late. In fact, when this issue of Amiga CD32 Gamer was published, Commodore was already out of business. The January 1995 issue includes:
- News - Retailers still supporting Commodore and the Amiga; Sensible World of Soccer out for the Amiga but may not be released for the CD32; Gremlin released Amiga CD32 version of Shadow Fighter; and more.
- Previews - A look at upcoming games including Base Jumpers, Nick Faldo Golf, Pussies Galore (it's probably not what you're thinking), and Worms.
- Frontier II - An in-depth preview of this sequel to Frontier: Elite II which was itself a sequel to Elite.
- Reviews - Reviews of Pinball Illusions (a pinball simulation), PGA European Tour (golf game), SubWar 2050 (a futuristic submarine warfare game), Theme Park (like Sim City only a theme park), and more.
- Playing Tips - Tips, tricks, strategies, and solutions for Beneath a Steel Sky, Tower Assault, and Jungle Strike.
