The Power Stone series of games originated as Sega arcade games and are arena style 3D fighting games. These were converted to the Sega Dreamcast and since the hardware was very similar to the arcade version (Naomi), the conversions are about as arcade perfect as you can get. The closest game I can come up with to compare it with would be something like Smash Bros.
Power Stone 2 was released in arcades in 2000 but only in Japan. It was released for the Dreamcast almost simultaneously in Japan and a few months later in North America and Europe. In 2006 it was also released for the PlayStation Portable. Power Stone 2 features a number of very dynamic stages that typically go through drastic changes throughout a given battle. The game also features a large number of weapons and various objects that can be used as weapons as well as other items. Want to smash your opponent with a conveniently placed table? Have at it!
Power Stone 2 generally got very good reviews and was only available on the Dreamcast. It is also available on the PlayStation Portable but a bigger screen is definitely better for a game like this. There have been no re-releases of this game that I am aware of so you will have to track down an original or setup an emulator to play. This is one of a number of very good games that were originally only released for the Dreamcast. Many of those were released by Sega themselves but this particular one is a Capcom release.
