For all you drama lovers out there, it seems that a long term user has brought attention to themselves and it turned in a negative way.
Everybody wants more upvotes.
Everybody likes more rewards.
Selfvoting and mass mentions are not the pathway through the hive to either of those.
As clearly demonstrated in the linked post.
IF anybody could come here and replace their job with hive postings, we would soon see the rewards for the restivus go to zero.
The pool is not all that large.
The only way to earn western level wages is to push 100's of minnows and redfish out of any rewards at all.
Not all of you reading this were here for the 'whale experiment'.
That debacle proved that when whales vote everybody else gets less.
This is the game as designed.
The way to overcome that fact is to power up more hive.
Encourage your friends to do the same.
At some point the top 20 accounts stop getting enough value to attract them to continue playing this game and taking the 50% of the inflation they currently rake in day after day, year after year.
It's pretty obvious why nobody would be attracted to this split of the newb attractant pool, outside the folks reaping in the rewards, but the only way over this hill is a mass repudiation of the game by those with enough hive to tank the price(unlikely), or years of continuous power up of the small amounts we do manage to get.
Not voting on posts that get more than 10htu on them is a also a way to speed up the distribution away from those that already have too much.
IF nobody voted on posts with more than 10htu on them, the pool would go much farther and to many more of us.
IF you are voting rewards to people that routinely get more than 10htu, you are part of the problem.
Stop doing that and instead help the rewards spread out?
Personally, I'm here making a record for my progeny, the rewards are just a plus.
It's looking pretty unlikely for me to have life changing amounts any time soon, so I'll just leave my rewards for them.
You might do well to adopt the same attitude.
Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places?
Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that.
A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins.
The fed buys coins at face value from the mint.
A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets.
Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.
