I just saw 's post about goji and figured I'd throw up some pics of ours from this morning.
These little things are prolific!
Lookit all that! That's one little branch, and there's three of em! I've said it a hundred times how much these little things have surprised me this year. This was a tiny plant the size of a pencil lead in length and width. Now it's turned into a big sprawling bush thing.
Today's harvest.
I'm going to plant more of these. They seem to sucker easily, as there's already a couple coming off this small bush. They'll be propagated all over the place.
I've had dried goji before, and they're nice and sweet. The fresh berries taste like bell peppers. Makes sense, as they're a nightshade just like peppers.
Berries are something I need a lot more of. Berries, herbs, and some kind of vining somethings are what I'm going to focus on planting in the next year. Picking berries this morning showed me that if I want a good foraging space, I need berries. That's some primo forage.
Back to curating. Just wanted to drop a quick couple pics cause papa pepper inspired me. Have a good weekend!
