It is looking more and more like Bitcoin’s crypto dominance will end in 2018 with a new coin ready to take the top spot. Bitcoin has ironically become old technology and the newer/faster coins are making a move. Here are what I believe are the two most likely coins to overtake Bitcoin in 2018.
Ripple - Ripple is not the favorite among the crypto community due to the fact that it is designed for big businesses and banks. However, this is the reason that it may be dominate in 2018. Banks and big businesses still run our financial lives, a coin, like ripple, that they are willing to adopt will have a huge upside in short term.
Cardano – Arguably, Cardano has the best technology of all the top cryptocurrencies. This makes Cardano very attractive for development teams. Cardano is already in the top five currencies without the announcement of any major project or developments. Imagine what will happen to Cardano in 2018 when they begin to announce partnerships and projects.
