Hello fellow musicians, promoters, future fans and those that just read this article,

My Rising Star journey has begun before exactly 7 days. I came to Splinterlands in early August and getting into Hive and all the different Blockchain-games i stumbled across this Rising Star. Early on, all my attention was getting into Splinterlands and filling my head with this Hive-Blockchain and how to work it all out. It's not an 1 day and set introduction to both and between all those front ends, Hive Token, Hive Power, Hive dollars, Pizza and seemingly countless other Tokens, you have to take it one step at a time.

Across this journey into the Hive, I also came across some fellow gamers from the Crypto Gaming Guild. But let's get back to the real topic here, Rising Star and our beloved Jux, who patiently helped me on a sunday to work me through a buy of some packs in a market place I have never used before. I was getting a deep dive into Rising Star aswell as sunday is known for the Radio evolved Show on YouTube, which you definatly should come and check out. Great music from people out of the Rising Star community, fun place to hang out and a nice opportunity to scoop a card in a giveaway aswell.

So let's dive into my journey of the last week and how I got a footstep into the music business.

As I already hinted out, I was wasting no time and bought up a nice 12 packs, because I like to give myself a bit of a headstart when diving into games. And as I already knew players that really liked this game and I thought I got the concept, I was rushing into things. To be fair my first few illegal Buskings had already happened and running from the police for a few bucks seemed to cry for a need of improvement in any way.

So 12 packs later and nothing special in those packs, the singing bum was on his way to become a famous rapper...

Due to a tip I got while chatting about the game, I was spamming illegal buskings, because as long as you are below 1k fans and under level 15 , ego is not of your concern and getting a lot of those early missions in sounds like an appropriate way of starting a music career. Rewards from missions (in total and each different one) come in handy as we want to progress through our career. Unluckily this nice lady wasn't aware of my packs and only hinted out I should get as much buskings in as I can until I get up to level 15, so before I realized what was happening (yes, my packs got me over 1.000 fans due to a nice tour bus and the drunks were coming in hot) I ended up getting over 500 ego and my returns from missions was cut in half. ouch I was kinda disappointed, because overall I wanted to improve my earnings and not getting less then anything. Asking through discord for some tips on how to improve my dilemma, I was told to get a storage for my cards.

Putting my bus and some band members in that spot was not the nicest move, but before I got shove them into the abyss I realized, that the storage are cards, which of I had none. Coming in hot with 440 Starbits, I was nowhere near buying anything on the market. But I had another lucky charm, telling me that if you post cards to sell on the market for a high price, you can reduce your collection and get rid of cards you don't want/need.
So throught the week, I was grinding illegal buskings with one big goal: a pizza box.

Managing your energy seems to be a great tool to provide a happy grind over the day, so I was planning on getting 3 boxes. Happy to see that after 100 missions, you get one from the game. Woohoo The price of the pizza box would have took a looooooong grind of missions and I wasn't planning on selling any cards yet, because buying/selling into the market felt too uncertain, as I struggle to wrap my head around which cards are currently overpriced or undervalued. Thanks again to Hive account@mess who was so generous of giving me my 2nd pizza box. I already felt rich and could provide enough food for the band to play all day long as long as my luck provided me some cold pizza slices. Also many giveaways that take place for Rising star are of great use for new players to get into business quicker. So how am I doing today?

I got to level 10 and I'm finally able to get into music lessons to get rid of that filthy ego which is robbing me off of my hard earned money. To celebrate this event I bought a few more packs taadaaaa

That's right! Beethoven is coming to the 21st century and he is going to make a mark!

Aaaaand he is going to take guitar lessons:

So over the course of this week, I will look into selling off some cards and getting more guitars to make my Beethoven's hunt for skill more effective. And regarding I will no longer take a lot of illegal busking at 15%/mission due to me gathering ego now, first of all I might look for another pizza box to keep my music career well energized.

My first longterm goal is to join the millionaire club and get that juicy 10k SB mission. The path to that is dark and unclear.
